Getting around!

Hi everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! We had a great one! We left on Thursday July 1st for Brad's parents house in Town Creek Alabama. We were nervous about the 6 hour drive b/c Titus is not the best traveler. He did soooo good though. We enjoyed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday laying out by the pool and spending time with family. We left Monday morning and went to my grandparents house in Decatur Al. We got to spend several hours with my grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. It was alot of fun. We do not get to see the Turrentines too ofter, so when we do we enjoy every minute of it!

Titus has begun to crawl. He definitely has his own style to it, but he gets where he wants to go! It is so much fun to watch him discover new things everyday! We hope you are all doing great! We love you all!

Disney!

So sorry it has taken me sooo long to blog since we left for Disney. Lightning hit our cable/internet on Monday, so we have been without all week.

Disney was awesome! The trip down was a little rough because of flight delays, but after 12 hours of airports we finally made it to Orlando at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Titus took a 20 minute nap during that 12 hours...ha! He was bouncing off the walls. I was glad he was awake and in a good mood though! I guess he was just super excited about seeing Mickey and Minnie.

We Spent Sunday through Wednesday in all the parks. We stayed inside of Disney which was great b/c we just took a bus everywhere. We would go out about 9 and come back to the room around 12 b/c it was so super hot. We spent most afternoons in the pool at the hotel. It was the first time Titus has been in a real pool and he loved it. We loved it b/c after we got out he would take a 2-3 hour nap! We would go back to the park around 6 and stay out pretty late. It was definitely a busy trip, but a fun one! We enjoyed getting to spend time with Deidra and Soy before they left for China and dad before he left for Guatemala.

This week has been spent getting back to a normal routine. Titus has begun to explore the possibility of crawling. He can get where he wants to go but he doesn't have it down 100% yet. We are about 80% there!

On Wednesday, June 30, Brad and i will celebrate our 3 year anniversary. We have been so very blessed over the last three years. Sometimes I think about our entire story of meeting/dating etc..and I am just amazed at how it was all worked out and in God's plan. There were so many times I didn't understand things, but in the end it was God's perfect timing. Brad surprised me with a night at the Marriott Grand Hotel to celebrate. I planned on taking Titus, but after some begging/convincing we left him with mom and dad for the night! It was actually a total of 25 1/2 hours (but who was counting!) It was a wonderful time of rest/relaxation for both of us (and I guess they were all right, I needed a night away!), but I was glad to get home to my baby!

Next week will be a normal week. We leave on Thursday headed to Town Creek for the holiday weekend. We are looking forward to a long weekend of laying by the pool and spending time with family.

We love you all!

Sitting Up!

Well we have finally reached the milestone of mastering sitting up! Titus started sitting up last week and is loving it! We bought him a pool that he loves to get in and splash around We also bought him a swing to put on the gazebo. He pretty much likes anything as long as it is outside!

We are getting ready to leave for Disney on Saturday. Brad, Titus, and I are flying to Orlando on Saturday afternoon. The rest of the family is driving down on Saturday. We are excited about the trip! It will be a much needed vacation for Brad.

We will post Disney pics next week!

Happy Memorial Day!

We hope you are all having a great holiday weekend! Alot has happened since the last time I blogged! We've been busy!

We went to Michigan and it was so much fun! Titus did wonderful on the plane...we couldn't have asked for him to do any better. We stayed at a "green" hotel which was different, but fun. It was so great to see everyone. I havent been to Michigan since Christmas 2006, so I was excited. We got to see the Genzink triplets on Thursday night. They were precious and truly little miracles! We the got to meet Ellyot for the first time also. She was so cute! It made me really excited about the next year with Titus! We also enjoyed shopping with Shari and many meals with Shari, Tom, Ross, Kathy, Gary, and Mr and Mrs Mast! Maybe we will get to go back next summer with Brad!

This past weekend was a very special one for our family. My sister, Hien, graduated from Faith Academy. Aunt Sue, Jamie, Jace, and Grayson came down to join in the festivities. It was so much fun to be able to spend 4 days with them.

Unfortunately Titus has been under the weather since Tuesday. He has a pretty bad cold. We had to go back to the doctor on Saturday and they gave him a breathing treatment. He was also put on an antibiotic and decongestant. Its so hard to see your baby sick. Please pray that he will continue to heal. Yesterday afternoon I felt 2 teeth that had broken the skin on the bottom! So on top of the everything, his two middle bottom teeth are coming through. Poor baby.

We arent doing anything special for the holiday. Brad is actually off from his regular job, but is working at the hospital for a little extra money. I thank God for a husband that works so hard in order that I may stay home and take care of Titus. We both count it a blessing that I am able to be with him everyday. My dad just called and told me that he is babysitting Titus at noon so that I could do whatever I wanted for the afternoon! Hmmm...Im thinking a nap! Ha!

We love you all!

                                                                        Mother's Day!

The last few weeks have been busy and great! I had a wonderful first Mother's Day! Titus was also dedicated in church on Mother's Day! Brad's mom and sister, Alison came down for dedication weekend. It was good to have them here to spend time with Titus.

We have had an awesome weekend so far. Brad got off early on Friday and will be off until Tuesday so we are enjoying some great family time! Brad's birthday is Tuesday so we have been celebrating! Titus got Brad a new TV for his birthday and they have both been loving it!

Titus and I leave on Thursday for Michigan. We are going with my mom and dad because dad has a wedding on Friday night. We are looking forward to seeing some great friends and letting them meet Titus! We are also excited to meet the newest additions to the Genzink family. Titus thinks other babies are hilarious, so he will be in heaven around the Genzink house. Ha!

Hope you all are having a great weekend and will have a great week! We love you!

Another Monday

Well we had a wonderful weekend! It was rainy here all day Saturday, so we spent the day inside. We enjoyed Brad staying home with us and doing nothing for a whole day! Dana and Gina came over and spent the afternoon with us. Its always fun to watch them with Titus. Its hard to believe I was their age when they were born. Wow how time flies!

Sunday was a great day at church. Ken Freeman preached two services and will preach another tonight. He is an awesome preacher! Titus spent the afternoon with his LiLi. It was soooo nice to be able to take a 2 hour nap!

Today has been a normal day for us. We are looking forward to hearing Bro.Ken preach tonight and to see what God is going to do. We hope you all had a great weekend and will have a great week!

Getting Started!

Hey everyone! We wanted to start this blog so that our friends and family can see Titus as he grows! The last five months have flown by and have made us stop and think about how short life really is. We can't believe that a year ago we had just found out we were expecting and now Titus is 5 months. God has blessed us in so many ways, but we feel like Titus has been the greatest blessing of them all. I could never describe the love I have for him as a mother and I know Brad would say the same about being a dad. Titus is definitely our world!

The last five months have been busy, but great. Brad has recently taken a job working for a home health agency in Pascagoula as a physical therapist. He is really enjoying it. The job allows him to be flexible in his schedule, which has resulted in being able to spend more time at home with Titus. I have been blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom. I never envisioned myself staying home, but when Titus was born I could not imagine leaving him. I graduated in December as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and became board certified in March. I do miss nursing, but I know that God has a plan for me and that in his timing everything will fall into place.

Titus is doing wonderful. He's growing so much. We have started giving him baby food in the last few weeks and he loves it! Aunt Deidra gives him browies and cake which he seems to enjoy much more than the carrots! He loves being outside no matter what you're doing. Hopefully we will get to go to the beach this summer with him. He has started laughing just recently. He thinks Brad is hilarious! It is so much fun to see the new things he discovers everyday.

We hope you are all doing well and will keep up with us through this blog. We love you all!
